The noble weekend – two precious days that by some scheme of the universe, are a few hours shorter than weekdays. Before you know it, it’s Sunday evening, the sun is going down behind the horizon dragging your smile behind it.
Here’s a tip to avoid Sunday evening blues:
Use a small, and I repeat in italics, small, portion of your weekend to plan for the week ahead. Better still, Friday evenings, before your brain is completely snatched, make a note of what you achieved over the past week and what you need to do in the coming one. This way you steer clear of the warped Sunday evening reflections of “where is my life going – do I have a life – what is life anyway – think I’ll switch my career path and become a shoreline executive.” Even if there are fires to extinguish or dragons to slay on Monday morning, you’ll have already set out your goals and associated tasks for the week. This will help you regain focus and stay on track to having a successful week, with an even happier weekend at the end of it.
